Our cases are manufactured of a composite, consisting of carbon fibre and an epoxy resin also suitable for aeronautics. The carbon fibre takes on the mechanical use adverse tensile-, pressure- and bending load. The epoxy resin binds the carbon fibre fabric and keeps it in its form.

By the use of carbon fibre our cases get mechanical features which are very similar to these of steel having the advantage of using synthetic material

Today more highly stressed parts always are made from carbon fibre. The main fields of application are aeronautics, space-travel, motor sport, pieces of sports equipment, and anywhere where low weight and extremely severe use is demanded.

Carbon fibre makes it possible for us to manufacture cases which are light and nevertheless withstand all adversities of the skin-diving.

The cases are coated metallically blue on the outside and inside with a black, light reflex impeding polyamide short fibre.

For all parts like plan dome port, converter port, viewfinder optics and grips, high-quality synthetic material (POM) is used. This high-quality synthetic material has excellent technical features and guaranteed long-lasting components.

For the insulation of the cases O-rings of Silicon and NBR caoutchouc are used.

The Silicon O-rings seal the two case halves up. They are very insensitive and must not be greased.

O-rings made of NBR caoutchouc are used for the insulation of the operating devices, ports and plates. The strength of the O-rings are chosen in such a way that they offer the greatest possible thick area, only in this way a greatest possible safety is ensured.

The cases are closed by fast shoetrees. The shoetrees are manufactured of saltwater constant high-grade steel.

They have a safeguarding against unintentional opening. The shoetrees make it possible to open and close the case fast and offer a protection against unintentional opening by safeguarding.

For photo analogue and photo digital cases mechanical operating elements are used. All mechanical operating elements and executions at the case are produced of saltwater constant V4A high-grade steel. The operating elements are twice O ring insulated. This way they guarantee highest safety.

For analogous and digital photography we offer a great choice of different plan and dom ports. The ports are manufactured from POM and are connected with the case by means of bayonet (Dahna, Sechura) or thread (Victoria).
For insulation sealing the ports up NBR caoutchouc or O rings are used. A converter port is firmly built-in at the video cases Kalahari, Atacama, Mojave and Gobi. This port has a far angle lens (approx. 90°) which can be taken out. The video cases Takla Makan and Negev are equipped with a change port system. Plan port glasses are made of mineral glas, dome ports are made of acrylic glass.

The installation of the camera is rather simple.

The camera is screwed on to the case table and connected with the lightning shoe or the LANC connection. At the cases Takla Makan and Negev a sledge is used because of the size of the camera. The camera is assembled on the sledge and slid into the case.

The insight is made by a viewfinder optics at the cases Dahna and Sechura on the viewfinder of the camera at the case. The viewfinder picture is checked over the camera monitor at the MIDI cases.

At the video cases one looks directly on the camera monitor (Kalahari, Atacama) or the picture is looped over a mirror (Mojave.) A monitor rear is also available for the Mojave case. A in the case integrated 2.5 monitor is used for the cases Takla Makan and Negev.
